7 Architectural Design
7.1 General Requirements
7.1.1 The area, fire rating, fire spacing and evacuation requirements of each single warehouse in the separately established warehouse area shall meet the relevant requirements specified in the current national standard GB 50016 Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings. The area, fire rating, fire spacing and evacuation requirements of each single warehouse in the warehouse area established within the plant area of the petrochemical enterprise to which it belongs and relying on the fire water system of such enterprise shall meet the relevant requirements specified in the current national standard GB 50160 Fire Prevention Code of Petrochemical Enterprise Design.
7.1.2 The warehouse for synthetic fiber, synthetic rubber, synthetic resin and plastic shall meet the requirements specified in the current national standard GB 50160 Fire Prevention Code of Petrochemical Enterprise Design.
7.1.3 For single packaged material warehouse with floor area exceeding 12,000m2,the main road within such warehouse should be at least 5.0m wide, maintained a minimum spacing of 1.0m with the stack, and smoothly connected with the motor vehicle road outside such warehouse.
7.1.4 The hazardous substance warehouse shall meet the following requirements:
1 The hazardous substance warehouses in a large-scaled petrochemical plant with fire hazard in Class A and B should be established separately. If impossible, fire walls shall be installed for division into compartments. The area of each compartment shall not exceed that specified in the current national standard GB 50016 Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings. Each compartment shall have individual external wall and entrance/exit.
2 It is strictly prohibited to build a hazardous substance warehouse in the basement or semibasement of any building.
3 The headroom of the warehouse should be no less than 3.50m.
4 The architectural design of the radioactive substance and toxic material substance warehouse shall meet the relevant requirements specified in the current national standard GB 15603 Rules for Storage of chemical dangers.
7.1.5 The waterproofing rating of the warehouse roof shall be no lower than ClassⅢ.The waterproofing rating of the hazardous substance warehouse roof shall be no lower than ClassⅡ.
7.1.6 The difference between the indoor level and the outdoor level of the warehouse shall be no less than 0.15m,and meet the following requirements:
1 When gas heavier than air is stored, the indoor and outdoor level difference shall be no less than 0.30m.In addition,a louver shall be installed close to the ground for ventilation.
2 The indoor and outdoor level difference of the warehouse with elevated indoor floor shall be no less than 0.60m.
7.1.7 When the stored material is corrosive to the building, anticorrosion measures shall be taken for the building structures according to the characteristics of the corrosive material. In addition, the following requirements shall be met:
1 For material warehouses subject to gaseous corrosion, anticorrosion measures shall be taken for all the walls, roof, beams and columns inside the warehouse.
2 For structural steel warehouses storing acid and alkali, the structure members shall meet the requirements on both fire protection and corrosion protection.
3 For warehouses storing corrosive material with fire hazard in Class A and B,the classification of the burning behavior of the insulation material,if installed for the structure members, shall be no lower than Class B1.During structural design, anticorrosion measures shall be taken.
7.1.8 The design working life shall be 50 years for warehouses and 5 years for temporary buildings.
7.1.9 A solid bump wall at least 1.00m high should be installed at the lower part of the warehouse wall.
