第24章 人月圆

题结婚照，1958

辛勤手织毛衣绿，

今日代婚纱。

素妆淡抹，

胸前点缀，

一朵红花。

平房砖地，

小窗剪纸，

装扮新家。

明晨离去，

银河无路，

地角天涯。

注：

作者在婚前已将外祖母、母亲与弟弟以平从武汉接到北京来住，在海淀苏公家庙4号租了三小间简陋的平房，合在一起不过20平方米。

—A poem for our wedding photo, 1958

Green sweater knitted by hands untiring,

Your wedding dress made in disguise.

Make-up simple and light,

On your chest,

A red fl ower glows.

The bungalow brick-fl oored,

With windows paper-cuts adorned,

Became the new home of ours.

The next morning saw our parting,

The milk way barred our meeting,

You and I asunder in pining hours.

Note:

Before marriage the author had already brought his grandmother, mother and brother from Wuhan to live with him in Beijing. He rented three small bungalows at No. 4, Sugongjiamiao, Haidian, altogether 20 square meters only.
